RIP WASTELAND

Here we have some photos of the now demolished Wasteland DIY skate park in Oakland California. Oddly enough, this park was built with the help of a Louisiana Native, Tony Miorana from Houma, LA. Short lived, CALTRANS, “dozed,” the park a few months back after having been subjected to heavy use for a few years. We just need bags of concrete and imaginations!

Old School : Derby Skate Park, Santa Cruz, California

Derby Skate Park may very well be one of the oldest skate parks in the nation! Built by Wormhoudt Inc, sometime ago. This park is a great land mark, but should never be duplicated. This skate park is very unassuming piece of the landscape in Santa Cruz, and fun to boot!

Franklin and Florida : What is and what could be

The city owned bridge and viaduct beneath at franklin and florida st, could be an incredible place for a new skate park of any kind. it’s shaded, and very visible. The city could take some initiative, or who knows, maybe someone will just go down there and start building.
